From the very beginning

The questions that open these pages arise from encounters and conversations around the works. They do not seek explanations, but an origin.

I chose to answer by telling a story, as one does with something that keeps returning.

How did your passion for art begin?

My passion for art began very early, out of a need to listen. Even before taking shape, I felt the urge to stop, to observe, to understand what was emerging within me and around me.

Sculpture naturally became the place of this confrontation: a direct dialogue with matter, with its weight, its resistance, its time. Not as an exercise in style, but as a necessary response to something that needed to be brought into the light.

In the face, in the body, in the mass carved out or left intact, I did not seek an image, but a presence. Every form is born from a slow, often demanding process, in which the gesture does not impose itself, but accompanies.
